#22 Arnold DwarikaFormer Trinidad and Tobago stars Arnold Dwarika, Aurtis Whitley, Stokely Mason, Nigel Pierre, Cyd Gray and Gary Glasgow are backed-up by United Petrotrin coach Marcos Tinoco, who believes they still have what it takes.
Mason and Pierre are returning Pro League campaigners with Petrotrin after a two-year absence while Glasgow, Dwarika, Whitley, Gray have been discarded by their former employers after last season—turning to new directions with the options of younger players.

But during 2009 pre-season, United Petrotrin, headed by Alvin Corneal, wasted no time in acquiring the former T&T internationals and a new coach--Brazilian Marcos Tinoco--with huge ambitions.

“We have three players over 30, and this shouldn’t be a problem,” Tinoco told www.ttproleague.com this month, when quizzed on his feelings and progress of the former ‘red, white and blacks’.

“They have worked hard on their fitness levels and have been improving a lot. We did a number of fitness tests and they didn’t show too far from the good standard of fitness.

“We have always been working on improving the areas of fitness that they need and we are continuing doing our job on making these players fit enough to perform,” he added. “They are good tactically; they are skilled; and as far as we know, they are in good shape. So far, we can see them performing well.”
