Footballers Jewyrn Balthazar, Neru Muhammad and Ishmael Daniel from Maloney Gardens have been having tremendous seasons in the Digicel T&T Pro League.  Balthazar, aged 28, has been outstanding for league champion Defence Force so far, playing in midfield. Coming from the back, Balthazar has been able to fire in six goals. He said that his main objective now is helping his team win the Toyota Classic and the Courts Pro Bowl and the next, is to run out for the T&T team.

Muhammad, who also has his eyes set on making the national team, is a defender for Caledonia AIA and is only 22 years old. He has scored one goal. Daniel is  a clubmate of Muhammad and his role is also patrolling the defence. The 24-year-old has also scored once. Daniel said right now his main focus is to help his team win the last two tournaments. Balthazar, Muhammad and Daniel were rewarded for their efforts as sportsmen from Maloney when they received vouchers and medals sponsored by Prestige Holdings and cash from Caribbean Finance.
