San Juan Jabloteh goalkeeper Cleon John picked up the Most Valuable Player award for the 2010-2011 season on Sunday during his club’s awards function held at the San Juan North Secondary School, Bourg Mulatresse.
It’s the second time since joining the club in 2007 from Defence Force that Cleon John grabbed the Jabloteh MVP award, having won it in his debut season. He also helped the San Juan club to the League Championship in that season.
Between then and now, Trent Noel(2008) and Noel Williams(2009) both now former players of the club picked up the MVP award.
Midfielder Jason Marcano who is no stranger to picking up individual awards at the club, this time picked up the Most Goals Award on Sunday, while Johan Peltier and Joel Russell picked up the Most Improved and Most Disciplined Awards respectively.
Youth Player Akeem Garcia who now runs out with the Jabloteh U17s, took away the most awards on Sunday for his performances last season with the Most Outstanding Youth Player, Chairman’s Award and Most Goal Award in the then U16 division.
Andrew Smith who featured on the bench for the Jabloteh senior team last season was voted the Most Valuable Player for the U18s and also got the Most Goal Award.
