ST ANN’S RANGERS moved up to third spot after a 5-0 thrashing of W Connection on Sunday, in the Under-17 Division, in Round One Match Day Four action in the Oasis Youth Pro League.
With first placed Joe Public on a bye, Rangers and San Juan Jabloteh took the chance to narrow the gap between themselves and the league leaders.
But Rangers overtook Connection for third position on the standings, with Arvin Prescod netting a beaver-trick — 25th, 28th, 40th and 55th, while Xavier Rajpaul got the other item in the 54th.
Jabloteh registered a comfortable 3-0 win over TTEC, with strikes from Akeem Garcia (third), Justin Garcia (61st) and Alvin Jones (74th), while Caledonia AIA blanked Police 2-0 with Matthew Lester (52nd) and Andell Andrews (84th) on target.
The other two games in the Under-17 Division ended in drawn results.
North East Stars and Defence Force battled to a 2-2 draw — Jesus Perez (20th) and Leon Timothy (60th) found the back of the net for North East while Keron Matthews (third) and Osei Griffith (28th) netted for Defence Force.
And, in the clash of the table-proppers, FC South End and Ma Pau played to a 1-1 tie. Isaiah Shalto put South End in front in the 33rd minute before Trevin Latapy equalised in the 81st.
