The Brazilian pair of Gefferson Goulart and Ronaldo Vieana is back from their stint with Yugoslavian premier club FC Zelnick and will don their W Connection shirts when the 2005 T&T Pro League season gets underway.
Gefferson Goualart and Ronaldo Vieana was on loan at FC Zelnick in Yugoslavia for the last ., but according to W Connections chief cook and bottle washer David John Williams, Zelnick ran into some financial difficulty and was forced to release the two Brazilians.
Hence, both Goulart and Vieana are back and are expected to give the Savonetta boys a big boost come the 2005 season.
However, there are mixed reactions coming from David John Williams, he told the ttproleague.com that while he will be happy the two Brazilians are back to play for Connection, he said it would have been nice for them to stay out in Europe and gain some wonderful experience.
Nevertheless, John Williams is confident, come July when the European transfer window re-opens both Goulart and Vieana will be snapped up by a European club.
Mr. John Williams also expressed the view that both Goulart and Vieana will enhance the look of the W Connection squad in the early part of the 2005 season.
Both players have played here for five years prior to their stint in Europe and have helped W Connection win two championships as well as several trophies, they have always been an integral part of our set up, and they are very familiar with conditions in Trinidad, we consider them senior players within the organization and this is really a plus for us, says Williams.
