The coaching staff of the national Under-17 football team will conduct screening sessions this weekend for players born on or after January 1, 1992.
The first session will take place on Saturday from 9 am to noon at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo for players in the North and East-West Corridor region. And then another session will be conducted on Sunday at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium also from 9 am to noon for players in the South and Central region.

In the absence of head coach Anton Corneal, who is on duty with the senior team in Jamaica, assistant Michael McComie and Shawn Cooper will take charge of the sessions along with the rest of the team’s technical staff.

“After a beneficial tour to the US in November for the Newark International Cup, the staff is seeking to strengthen the squad. Twelve players from the existing squad have been excluded from the screening sessions. We intend to monitor their progress and also see which players can be added to the current pool,” team manager Christopher Gouveia said.

Screening in Tobago will be carded for later in the year. All players are asked to walk with proper Identification documents at the sessions.
