Screening sessions for the National Under-20 Men’s team provisional squad training commenced on Saturday at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, Arima, and will resume tomorrow at the same venue.
The Tuesday session will be for players from the North and East Zones or Regional Associations only and starts at 9 am. These sessions continue on Wednesday at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, for Central and South players from 9 am — noon and then in Tobago on the 26th.
Players are asked to arrive by 8:15 am for registration and to walk with their National Identification Cards or Passport, red and white playing tops, black pants and red socks. Players must be born on or after January 1, 1995.
Trinidad and Tobago go into Caribbean qualifying action for the 2015 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in September. There is currently a pool of players including members from the past Under-17 team and those already scouted by the national team coaches.
However, these screening sessions will give the selectors and players further opportunities before a final pool is selected for official training.
