Trinidad & Tobago international Jerrel Britto recently signed a boot deal with Concave Footwear Company. Britto joins an elite group of players currently wearing the boots, which includes English Premier League stars such as John O’Shea & Wes Brown.

Britto, who is represented T&T at the U-20 Hexagonal tournament last month, which included host Venezuela, Panama, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Cameroon and of course Trinidad & Tobago, wore the PT+ Classic and is looking forward to doing so again in the upcoming Caribbean Football Union (CFU) World Cup qualifiers in November.

“I like the boots a lot, it is comfortable, it feels good when I strike the ball and everyone here at the club like them as well.  I am wearing them with pride” said Britto.  He further commented, “my goal against Cameroon last Friday is the first in these boots, and hopefully it is just the beginning.”

In 2006 Britto emerged as one of the brightest young strikers in T&T Pro League Youth Division, receiving the MVP and Leading Goal Scorer awards at U14 and U15 level in 2006 & 2007.  He went on to have a stellar year in 2007, as captain of the T&T U15 National Team at the CFU Qualifiers.  He emerged as the leading goal scorer with 15 goals, earning him a try-out with Portsmouth Football club Youth Academy. In addition, he also received the Sportsman of the Year and Footballer of the year for the Secondary School Football League.

In 2008 Britto continued to develop, representing T&T as captain of the U17 at the CFU Youth Cup, again emerging as leading goal scorer.  Prior to his performance in the aforementioned tournament, Britto was called up to the T&T national senior team under Coach Francisco Maturana.  He also signed with San Juan Jabloteh Football Club representing them at the U18 and senior team level.

As Britto development continued in 2009, he continued to showcase his talent via his appearances at club level in the TT Pro League and the CONCACAF Champions League.  He also represented T&T at the U17 level in Mexico at the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers, as well as the U23 Team in the Olympic qualifiers.  His accomplishments in 2009 saw him collect a total of seven awards.

Britto’s choice of boot, PT+ Classic, sits at the top of the brand’s extensive range. Patented innovations on the PT+ Classic include a distinctive sweet spot four times larger than any boot on the market today; giving players up to 15 per cent more power and 30 per cent more accuracy, while protecting them against foot injuries. Its Shank Balance Stabilizer provides further support and reinforcement to the mid-foot area and prevents an over-extension of the middle of the foot that can lead to metatarsal bone damage.

Concave offers a range of technologically advanced boots, which come in a range of colourways and outsoles. Following the introduction of the prototype Concave PT1 boot to UK consumers in 2008, the new Concave PT+ was voted one of the “Top Ten Football Boots of the Decade” by the authoritative Footy Boots website.

About Concave:
Concave is a market leader in the performance improvement of football boots. Their award-winning designs are based on the four principles of power, protection, accuracy and control.

Founded in 2007, following the acquisition of Imagine Sports Property Ltd, the company has its principal office in Manchester, an executive office in Toronto and locations in the United States of America and Australia.

The Concave football boot is revolutionary in its design, as it naturally complements the convex shape of a football, creating a ‘cup’ for any football. Concave boots allow players to execute kicks with more accuracy, control and power on a far more consistent basis than with a standard football boot. The reason - a four times larger sweet spot than today’s conventional football boots.

Today, Concave is patented around the globe and is worn by some of the world’s best players including Manchester United star John O’Shea.

Concave Holdings, Inc. is a global company with subsidiary operations in Indonesia, and operating from Manchester in the United Kingdom.
