His older brother Lester Peltier is currently on trial with American MLS squad Houston Dynamo but Johan Peltier is determined to outdo the former bmobile San Juan Jabloteh striker.

Johan earned the FA Trophy Final “One for the future” award courtesy of S2 Events for his outstanding showing in last Friday’s final at the Marvin Lee Stadium which helped Jabloteh earn the $80,000 first prize and the prestigious FA Trophy.

His next major assignment is with the Under 20 team at the Concacaf final round qualifiers in Guatemala in April ahead of the 2011 FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

“It’s a player’s dream to play in a World Cup so I will definitely be aiming to try and help the team succeed. I have ambitions to do well and it felt great to win the FA Trophy final.

All the hard work paid off,” Peltier said. “I want to make sure I keep proving myself to be a good forward and that my place is always there. I want to make it even bigger than Lester.

He’s been doing well but I want to set myself a target of reaching higher than he has. I believe that will help me to maintain good form and move on to better things,” added Peltier.
