The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) has extended condolences to the family and friends of the former national U23 and U20 player Devon Drayton, who was brutally murdered on Thursday.
Drayton, 35, and Asha George, 30, were shot dead in their bed in Claxton Bay on Thursday.
The former national youth player was a member of the Trinidad and Tobago U23 team coached by Dutch coach Jan Van Deinsen and the late Michael McComie.
Drayton was also on the Trinidad and Tobago U20 team in 2006 coached by former national player Brian Williams.
He played for local clubs W Connection, United Petrotrin, and Club Sando, among others.
Drayton's son, Donovan Drayton, is a member of the TTFA High-Performance U15 team.
The TTFA stated that Donovan missed training today at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium.
They said that the Football Association would provide the necessary support for the young man.
