GLOBAL ENCOUNTER Ministries (GEMS) advanced to the semi-final round of the Churches Football League knockout tournament after a 10- 0 humiliation of Woodbrook AIC in the second leg of their quarter-final round last Saturday.

GEMS, who are vying for their fourth straight knockout title, got hat- tricks from Dacien John and Jevon Simon, while Keron Bethelmy chipped in with a double.

Kylon Gay and Dilon Lewis added one apiece for GEMS, who triumphed on a 16-3 aggregate.

GEMS will now face Westend today in their first leg semi-final contest.

Westend rallied from a 2-1 first leg deficit to trounce D’Abadie Deliverance Sanctuary 6-4, for a 7-6 aggregate win.

In their second leg meeting, Westend got two goals apiece from Jeremiah Headley and Jerron Nurse, while Anton Hutchinson and Adrian Marshall added one each.

For D’Abadie, Simeon Aguilera got his name on the scoresheet, along with Mark Aguilera, Raymond Pinda and Devon Harry.

Church on the Rock were rewarded with strikes from Brian Sampson, Kirtson Graham and Neil Marcano as they edged Curepe Amen 3-2. Jacinto Rampersad and Kareem Jack replied for Curepe. Church on the Rock progressed to the last four by virtue of a 7-5 aggregate, and will meet Khandahar who ousted Reformation Life Centre 5-4 on aggregate.

In their second leg quarter-final clash, Khandahar pipped Reformation 3- 2 with Kernel Subar, Garth Welch and Josiah Roberts netting for Khandahar, while Kieron Brathwaite got both items for Reformation.
