The sixth team to challenge the Champions of Champions (CoC) National Super League qualifying tournament is multiple championship winner Matura Reunited.
Matura, champion of the Eastern Counties Football Union (ECFU) Premier Division recently won the title ahead of its final match of the season. The closing fixture will take place on Sunday between Matura and third-placed Biche United, in Biche.
A win for Biche will see the team leap to a second-spot finish in the league campaign, over the current runner-up De’Marie Reunited. The ECFU Knockout final also remains outstanding. The two finalists, Guaya United and Rion Claro United will meet at Guaya Recreation Ground, Guayaguayare, on January 25, from 3.30 pm.
All six zonal teams have now been finalised for the CoC tournament, which is expected to run off later this month. They are, Queen’s Park Cricket Club (NFA), Petrotrin Palo Seco (SFA), La Horquetta SA (EFA), Goal City (TFA) and Coosal’s Las Lomas (CFA).
