Shaka FC Club was one of five football club which was honoured by the Church on the Rock during the 2018 Football Awards ceremony held in Morvant on December 1.

National senior men’s coach Dennis Lawrence, who was the featured speaker advised the young footballers from the Morvant area to turn the negatives in their lives into positives using sports and more particularly football as a vehicle. Church on the Rock, which is part of the Open Bible Standard Churches, believes it can utilise football to help the youth in Morvant, senior pastor Rev Dr Benjamin Agard said the gathering during the ceremony.

Among the players from the club who attended were Josiah Millington, Dashawn Mitchell, Kanye and Kobe Glasgow, Jaheem Phillip, Adisa Sankar Ezekiel John, Adrian Joseph, Arion Beckles, Caydon Daniel, Jahiem Collins Stefano Whiteman and Keyvin Thompson. Sha­ka FC Club was one of five foot­ball club which was ho­n­oured by the Church on the Rock dur­ing the 2018 Foot­ball Awards cer­e­mo­ny held in Mor­vant on De­cem­ber 1. Na­tion­al se­nior men’s coach Den­nis Lawrence, who was the fea­tured speak­er ad­vised the young foot­ballers from the Mor­vant area to turn the neg­a­tives in their lives in­to pos­i­tives us­ing sports and more par­tic­u­lar­ly foot­ball as a ve­hi­cle.

Church on the Rock, which is part of the Open Bible Stan­dard Church­es, be­lieves it can utilise foot­ball to help the youth in Mor­vant, se­nior pas­tor Rev Dr Ben­jamin Agard said the gath­er­ing dur­ing the cer­e­mo­ny.
