PATRICK PARRIS scored a beaver-trick as Dream Team embarrassed Arima Tigers 10-1,on Thursday, in the first game of a Sweet Sixteen Football League double-header at the Ojoe Road Recreation Ground, Sangre Grande.
Kern Diaz netted a pair for Dream Team, while Tyrell Hospedales, Kenlon Roberts, Damien Boney and Devonte Felix chipped in with one apiece.
Brandon Olton was the lone goal-getter for Arima Tigers.
There were some drama in Thursday’s other contest, as Guaya United were held to a 2-2 draw by Athletico. Leroy Jones and Jody Allsop found the back of the net for Guaya United. Jeron Jones and an own goal ensured that Athletico got a share of the points. There was another double-header at the Ojoe Road Recreation Ground, on Friday. Ex-national striker Willis Plaza scored a double to guide Cool It to a 4-0 victory over Trincity Nationals. Noel Williams and Brendon Figueroa were the other goal-scorers for Cool It.
Joshua Ashton and Anil Jessop got their names on the scoresheet as Generation Next edged Dragon FC 2-1. Anthony Guppy was on target for Dragon FC.
