SANTOS FC were on the rampage once again at the Eddie Hart Savannah (EHS) in Tacarigua on Monday when they hammered MAASH International 5-0 in a crucial Group Two encounter in the Eddie Hart Football League (EHFL).

The former champs were gifted at least three of their goals by poor goalkeeping from K Spencer, whose judgment was its lowest on the night.

Darren Lewis benefited from Spencer's lapses to grab the simplest of braces in the win that pushed the 2007 winners to 12 points and third on the standings.

Sheldon Harris, Keron Griffith and Kerry Harris were the other contributors for the Santos, who have only conceded two goals in their six games, while scoring 19.

In the second game of the Group Two doubleheader, North Hill replaced MAASH as the new leaders of Group Two, following a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over 2008 champions Parliament, who were simply playing for pride after a disappointing run.

Kareem Scoon netted the game winner in the first session for North Hill, who lead with 14 points, one more than MAASH (13).

On Sunday night, Spain Slappers and Pacemakers played to a 2-2 draw to leave Group One wide open for places to the next round Kendall Alleyne provided both strikes for the winners, while Akeil Paynter netted one of the two  goals  for Slappers, who stayed in third spot on goal difference behind Valtrin United.

It was Paynter's ninth of the season. In Group Three, 2007 and 2008 Knock Out winners, Bon Air revived their ambitions of advancing to the next stage courtesy of a below-par 2-1 triumph over a gutsy Arima Combined unit.

The victory lifted Bon Air from fifth into third place behind an improved Paradise FC squad, who flogged St Joseph United 9-0 recently.

The top two teams from the three groups and the two best third placed sides will make the cut to the last eight.

Samba Boys lead the group with a total of 15 points but six will be taken away because they did not march at the start of the season.
