Maple Sports Club will be hosted by the Global United Soccer Club of Tampa in a June 17-20 tournament in Florida, USA.

The tournament will feature Maple, hosts Global United, as well as two other clubs, one from Haiti and the other from Latin America.

Maple are Trinidad and Tobago’s oldest surviving football club, which has seen national players like former T&T captain Sedley Joseph, goalkeepers Lincoln ’Tiger’ Phillips and Joey Gonzalves, Alvin Corneal, club president Paul ’Polly’ Regis, Andy Ganteaume and a number of other stalwarts in Trinidad and Tobago’s football and cricketing history.

The T&T players have also been invited to assist Global United in football skill and character skill training with inner city youth at the Boys and Girls Club of Clearwater, Florida.

They will attend an alcohol, drug and steroid education and prevention seminar and receive a certificate of completion at Springfield College.
