The game was played at Guaracara Park Pointe-a-Pierre where the teams were officially met by Petrotrin’s Corporate Communications Manager Gillian Friday.
“We are also pleased that we have been able to join with two of our partners in the energy sector, the National Gas Company (NGC) and the National Energy Corporation (NEC), who have come on board as co-sponsors of this tournament. “We hope that this initiative would serve to lift the standard of football in the southwest of the country. We also hope that the organisers and the participating teams would use the activity as a medium to build community interaction and spirit, by the encouraging fellow residents to come out and support.” First prize for the Southwest Super 5 tournament is $8,000 and the runners-up will receive $5,000.
