Paradise FC and Trincity Nationals captured both men and women's titles respectively at the just concluded Eddie Hart Football League (EHFL) at the Eddie Hart Savannah in Tacarigua.
After over five years of underachievement, Paradise FC finally came to the party in 2010 to become the first club to triumph in both league and knockout campaigns since the beginning of the new millennium.
Paradise registered their long- awaited league triumph when they beat 2009 champions MAASH International 3-0 before the largest crowd of the campaign.
They completed the double with a similar margin of victory over CAPS in the knockout final which was played after the league final.
Few expected the 2010 double championships to reach such heights, following their lacklustre performances in their previous seasons, with the exception of the 2007 season when they were beaten by Santos FC in the league grand finale.
In the women's department, Trincity Nationals beat all comers in a four-club, two-round season to tally 14 points and at the same time, edge out 2009 champs San Juan Jabloteh, who finished next with 13 points.
And in the KO affair, Kirby Alexander netted the game's winners for Nationals as they pipped Ballers United 1-0 in a keenly contested final.
