The General Council of the Tobago Football Association (TFA) has now thrown its weight behind St Clair Coaching School in its dispute with the National Super League and by extension the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF).

During the TFA General Council meeting hosted at the Scarborough Secondary School on Saturday May 28, the Council mandated the executive to write to the TTFF insisting on a speedy resolution to the dispute which is approximately two months old. The dispute materialised because St Clair Coaching School failed to show for their penultimate game in the National Super League Promotional Play-offs which was schedule for Trinidad earlier in the year and they were expelled from the league.

However, the School's claim is that they had informed the Tournament Committee in advance that they were unable to fulfill their engagement because they were unable to procure confirmed reservations to return home after the game.

When they were kicked out of the league Coaching School was well placed to finish top of the group or was almost certain to capture one of the three promotional berths.

Officials from the School have attended two meetings to date with the TTFF pertaining to the dispute but they are yet to receive a written or verbal response on their status. However, St Clair Coaching School was not among the 12 teams listed to play in the National Super League schedule to kick-off on June 15 2005 as reported in one of the daily newspaper recently.

A Coaching School official stressed that they will not be giving up this battle without a fight and if necessary will go to the courts of the land to get justice.
