Former St Benedict’s College striker Shaquille Henry scored a dramatics late winner as Petrotrin Palo Seco won a top-of-the-table National Super League football clash against early season leaders WASA yesterday at Palo Seco Velodrome.
Palo Seco now leap-frog WASA into the first spot in the competition.
The match seemed headed for a draw, until Henry scored in injury time to give the home team the victory over WASA. Palo Seco went into the match in second position after a win and draw in their opening two matches, while previously unbeaten WASA had won their opening two games.
Yesterday, WASA led 2-1 at half time, scoring through Kareem Freitas in the 29th minute and Cleveland Cambridge on the stroke of half-time, after Darren Alexis had put the home team ahead in the 12th minute.
Former Point Fortin Civic striker Sylvester Teesdale, pulled Palo Seco level at 2-2 just eight minutes from the end, before Henry stole all three points in injury time.
