BARRACKPORE UNITED continued to set the pace in the Championship Division of the National Super League, after recording their third straight win in the 2015-2016 season on Saturday.
Keion La Rode broke the deadlock for Barrackpore after 10 minutes of play, but Hakeem Legall levelled the scores in the 48th.
Mikheil Peters restored Barrackpore’s lead in the 60th only for Raoul Trotman to equalise for Youth Stars in the 74th. But there was a final twist to the tale as Peters got the winner, in the 80th.
The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT ) hammered Saddle Hill Hotspur 5-2 at the UTT O’Meara campus in Arima.
Former national midfielder Kevaughn Connell got a pair for UTT , in the second and 84th minutes, while Isaiah Meijas (18th), Theon James (43rd) and Dillon Bartholomew (87th) were the other goal-getters for the hosts.
Cyrano Glen (38th) and Kevon Durham (83rd) responded for Saddle Hill. Cunupia FC overcame an early setback to trounce Central 500 Spartans 5-1 at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva.
Stevon Stoute registered a hattrick (53rd, 56th and 67th) and Michael Yaw Darko got the other two (71st and 79th) for Cunupia, after Donovan Derrick got Spartans’ goal in the 22nd.
Also on Saturday, Carenage United and TT Prisons FC battled to a 2-2 draw at the Youth Training Centre (YTC) Ground in Arouca.
Kathon St Hillaire (61st) and Anthony Penn (80th) were the goal-getters for Carenage United while Roland Hamilton (73rd) and Seon Jack (81st) replied for Prisons.
The other two matches on Sunday ended with 2-1 scorelines.
Guaya United took care of Marabella Family Crisis Centre, at the New Lands Ground in Guayaguayare, with Desta Francis (13th) and Kevin Jagdeosingh (55th) netting for the hosts while Kierron Mason (73rd) responded for Marabella.
And, in an all-Tobago affair, Bethel United got the better of Tobago FC Phoenix 1976 at the Mt Gomery Recreation Ground.
Getting the goals were Bethel were Aaron Quashie (21st) and Kevon Woodley (35th) while Lejandro Williams (83rd) got the lone item for Phoenix.
