Guaya United and Prisons FC will contest the final of the Caribbean Football Trust Limited (CFTL)-sponsored League Cup, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva on October 28.

This tournament is being staged under the auspices of the TT Super League.

In a semi-final double-header on Saturday, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Guaya United trounced Cunupia FC 5-2 while Prisons eliminated the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) by a 4-2 margin.

In the earlier match on Saturday, Prisons went ahead through Ricardo Alleyne, after 12 minutes, while Isaiah Thomas doubled the lead in the 21st. UTT reduced the deficit through an own goal from Perry Parris in the 29th but Alleyne completed his hat-trick when he netted in the 54th and 57th.

Ex-national striker Cornell Glen got on the scoresheet for UTT in the 75th but Prisons were not going to be denied a spot in the title-match.

Striker Carlon Hughes scored a double, in the ninth and 79th minutes, while Kevin Jagdeosingh (fourth), Jody Allsop (82nd) and Shaquille Ferrier (87th) were also on target as Guaya comfortably booked a place in the final.

Kevon Woodley (37th) and Michael Darko (86th) were the goal-getters for Cunupia FC.
