Sterling O’Brien scored for the second consecutive match as Defence Force recorded a 2-1 win over West Side Super Starzs in the Blink/ bmobile National Super League, at the Youth Camp in Chaguaramas, yesterday.

Defence Force took the lead in the 21st minute when O’Brien netted from the penalty spot after West Side goalkeeper Javan Seegobin pulled down forward Stephan Antoine when the two were in a one-on-one scenario. Seegobin was, however, not ejected for his challenge.

Christopher Durity made it 2-0 for the hosts in the 38th minute and the match seemed to be going the way of Defence Force before Kevon Dove pulled one back for the visiting side.

However, West Side could not find the leveler. WASA FC found themselves on 16 points with a 3-2 win at home to 1976 FC Phoenix. Phoenix were off to a bright start when Dominique Kerr netted in the 25th minute. His effort was then canceled out by Darin Lewis ten minutes later.

The two sides were level until  Savion Garcia scored a two goal brace in the 85th and then  four minutes later in the 89th minute to give WASA a 3-1 lead. Andell Noray scored two minutes later in added time but it wasn’t enough to prevent his side from the loss.
