Police FC Under-13 players struck a pot of goals under the sunshine of last Sunday when they whipped Morvant Caledonia United 11-0 at the Maracas Recreation Ground in the final match-day of Round One in the 2017 Flow Youth Pro League.
Nathaniel Carrim ended with a second-half hat-trick, taking his tally to nine goals in as many matches for the Blues, while team-mates Jayden Moore, Jaron Pascall and Tyreke Harding each had a double, and Fabien Ayres and Imani Lewis one each in the comfortable Police U13s win.
It wasn’t, however, the heaviest defeat suffered by the table-propping Morvant Caledonia U13s who remain without a point and a game in hand against another side without a point, St. Ann’s Rangers.
Morvant Caledonia who were twice defeated 12-0 this season (against Defence Force on 26 March and San Juan Jabloteh on 23 April), suffered the worst loss in all divisions this season, 13-0 in a rescheduled clash against Central FC on 30 March.
The latest double-figure, however, kept Police (27 points) at the summit of the U13 standings, five points clear of closest challengers San Juan Jabloteh, who leads the Under-15 and Under-17 standings.
Nathaniel James scored his 13th, 14th and 15th goals of the season to steer Jabloteh U13s to a 4-2 win over Defence Force at Trinity East in Trincity.
Jabloteh also defeated the hosts 1-0 and 2-0 in the U15 and U17 divisions, respectively, to complete the trifecta as did Police against their Morvant Caledonia U15 and U17 counterparts.
Matthias Hinkson, Ajay Ward and Jardel Joslyn, with his first Police goal this season, each scored against Morvant Caledonia U15s for a 3-1 victory. Jardell Mitchell scored the lone Morvant Caledonia U15 goal which turned out the only item for the hosts last Sunday after the U17s outfit fell 3-0 against Police.
Zion Mc Leod, Romario Burke and Kareem Grant were the latest heroes for Police, who occupy fifth position on the U17 standings, and will next travel to Ojoe Road Recreation Ground in Sangre Grande against North East Stars on Sunday 13 May.
