Scarborough still standing in Atlantic football

On Tues­day Scar­bor­ough warmed up for that con­test by whip­ping Ch­agua­nas RC 16-0 and will now put the 2017 ti­tle on the line against San Fer­nan­do Methodist at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um on Wednes­day from 10:45 am

Care­nage Boys Gov­ern­ment book its place in the Un­der-15 Boys ti­tle match af­ter a com­fort­able 4-0 vic­to­ry over San Fer­nan­do Boys RC in the teams' se­mi-fi­nal clash at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um on Thurs­day.

Care­nage Boys Gov­ern­ment, the Port-of-Spain and En­vi­rons Cham­pi­ons went ahead as ear­ly as the 7th minute through Janell Brew­ster. Af­ter the half, Care­nage Boys team which won the Na­tion­al Cham­pi­onship on two oc­ca­sions went in­to top-gear and scored three goals to make it 4-0 at the fi­nal whis­tle. Jaden De Gannes scored in the 33rd minute be­fore Al Kalipha Hen­ry scored a dou­ble af­ter strikes in 40th and 53rd min­utes.

Care­nage Boys Gov­ern­ment will now meet the win­ner of the St Do­minic's RC School and last year's Un­der- 12 Cham­pi­ons La Pas­to­ra Gov­ern­ment which was post­poned on Thurs­day be­cause of the in­clement weath­er. That game will now be played to­mor­row at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um be­gin­ning at 9:45 am.

On Tues­day last at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Port-of-Spain Cham­pi­ons New­town Boys RC School was beat­en by Point Fortin RC 1-0. The scores were tied 0-0 at the in­ter­val but Khaleel Lawrence sent the Point Fortin sup­port­ers in a cel­e­bra­to­ry mood when he banged home a siz­zler in the 25th minute.

In the oth­er se­mi-fi­nal at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Ari­ma Boys Gov­ern­ment beat En­ter­prise Gov­ern­ment 3-1 to move to the fi­nal and take on Point Fortin RC on Thurs­day in the Un­der-12 Boys Fi­nal at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um, Mu­cu­rapo.

Ari­ma Boys Gov­ern­ment got goals from An­est De­Sil­va in the 2nd minute, be­fore Ky­mani Hold­er made it 2-0 on the half-time whis­tle.

Ker­ry Bap­tiste then ex­tend­ed the lead to 3-0 in the 19th minute be­fore En­ter­prise Gov­ern­ment got on the score-sheet through Aaron Ray­mond in the 35th minute.
