Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) Director of Football, Leo Beenhakker is expecting a tough assignment from Haiti when T&T clash with their Caribbean rivals at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, in Miami, this evening.

Beenhakker, speaking ahead of T&T’s training session at the match venue yesterday, said he was satisfied with some aspects of T&T’s match against El Salvador. T&T and El Salvador battled to a 2-all draw on Monday.

“There were some good parts but also a lot of work for us to do. El Salvador were a good team. We  played a very average first half but the second half was much better and in the end we could be satisfied,” Beenhakker said.

“Haiti will be a very difficult team to beat. They are a very athletic team and their players are quick and strong. It will not be easy, but we will go there and try to get the best result for the team to try and advance in this Gold Cup,” the Dutchman added.

Beenhakker joined the T&T team in Fort Lauderdale for a training camp prior to the first match against El Salvador, and has been observing and giving input when necessary during the team’s preparations, alongside head coach Stephen Hart.
