Despite scoring his second international hat-trick for the Soca Warriors, Orlando City midfielder Kevin Molino wants to do much more.

The 26-year-old Molino fired in a hat-trick in the 14th, 18th and 55th minute while Cordell Cato scored in the 30th as T&T trounced Dominican Republic 4-0 in their Caribbean Football Union Cup Final Group Four qualifier, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva on Wednesday night.

The win put T&T on top the three-team standings with three points ahead of its final match away to the French-speaking Martinique next Tuesday at Stade Municipal, Pierre-Aliker, Fort-de-France. Dominican Republic is also set to host Martinique on Saturday  at the Estadio Panamerican, San Cristobal.

At the end of the series, the winner will qualify to the CFU Cup Finals and the Concacaf Gold Cup set for next year.

Wednesday's feat by Molino also marked the second time he had scored a hat-trick against Dominican Republic, after his first came when both teams met in a Caribbean Football Union Cup qualifier on October 8, 2014, a 6-1 win.

Back then, Molino scored  in the third, fourth and 24th minute while captain Kenwyne Jones got goals in the 40th and 55th, and Trevin Caesar added the other in the 76th.

Commenting after Wednesday's encounter, the T&T player,  brother of national cricketer, Kevon Cooper said, “Overall we can be better as a team and as for my performance I think I can always get better. Scoring three goals was one part, but at times I felt I give away the ball too much and defensively I have to continue working harder. I think it’s good and most important that in this stage of the game for us  is to win, and I know we are looking forward to the next game and hopefully we continue doing the same thing”

With regards to the chemistry within the team, Molino who has now netted 15 goals in 35 matches for T&T stated, “As a team we are getting there as we know it’s a process and when you look at international matches, it’s very difficult as you don't get a lot of time to prepare and be together and have that camaradarie.”

The T&T international also had his eye set on the 2018 World Cup Finals in Russia saying with Concacaf Final Round qualifiers set to begin next month: “ It's going to take time and this is what this tournament is for, to build us up and prepare us for the game against Costa Rica. We have to stick to our game plan. The most important thing is that we are in control of what we can do together as a team and individually. So we have to keep fighting to the very end, give ourselves a goal and continue the way how we play.”
