Leo Beenhakker and his technical staff among with TTFF Special Advisor Jack Warner have been invited by the The FA  to attend England’s warm up international against Uruguay at Anfield, Liverpool on March 1.

The invitation came through a correspondence sent to Warner from the FA Chairman Geoff Thompson.

And in return, the FA will also be invited to witness T&T’s friendly with Iceland on February 28 in London.

“I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to be our guest at Anfield, Liverpool on the 1st March at our friendly match against Uruguay.  I have also asked my colleague, Andrew Halstead, to do all possible to accommodate your delegation at this match,” Thompson stated on Monday.

Beenhakker along with TTFF international affairs consultant Mike Berry selected De Vere Carden Park, a training venue of the England National Team, as the site for T&T’s live-in training camp in England following the farewell match against Peru on May 10.

Meantime the TTFF has had to turn down a request from the Jamaican Football Federation to play their senior team in Kingston in a friendly on March 1.

“We are quite certain that as we continue to celebrate Trinidad and Tobago
historic qualification to the World Cup we can assist in their preparation by playing friendly game(s).” JFF President Crenston Boxhill stated in a letter sent on January 4, 2006.

Warner in turn wrote back: “In the circumstances, I am extremely sorry but, on behalf of Trinidad & Tobago, its National Team and supporters, I do wish to thank you for the invitation and for your Federation's continuing support.”
