Two of the Trinidad and Tobago's 2006 World Cup Squad members Chris Birchall and Avery John are both looking forward to their return to the team for Wednesday's friendly international against Haiti at the Marvin Lee Stadium.
Both players expressed optimism of the team's shaping for the upcoming semi-final World Cup qualifying round, saying they hope to bring something extra to the setup.
"I'm just glad to be back It's been a long time out and now it's about gelling with the new players. A lot of them I don't know really but the lads have been brilliant. I think they're all enjoying it. I think this is the best time that I could have come back in. It's the best I've felt since the World Cup really," Birchall said.
John meantime, added: "It's good to be back. The session itself was good. So we'll see what happens in the match. The main focus is getting ready for the World Cup game."
Today's game kicks off at 6pm. The T&T team then travels to Port-Au-Prince for a return friendly on August 10 before facing El Salvador in another friendly in Washington on August 14. They face Cuba in World Cup qualifying action on August 20 in Havana
