Midfielder Marvin Faustin, recently reinstated into international football by FIFA, is among 20 players invited to training with the Trinidad and Tobago football team.

Faustin, banned by the Caribbean Football Union after testing positive for drugs during the Shell Caribbean Cup finals in April, and skipper Dexter Francis are the only survivors from Trinidad and Tobago's famous 'strike squad' which failed by one point to qualify for the World Cup finals in Italy in 1990.

Trinidad and Tobago have started preparations for a revenge match against the United States which was the team that defeated them 1-0 in that infamous final qualifying match on November 19, 1989.

The revenge game will take place on November 19.

Among the notable absentees from the 20-man squad are Dexter Lee and Kerry Jamerson, another pair who were part of the strike squad team and who up to recently commanded a place on the squad.
