The Trinidad Referees’ Association re-elected Harold Burnett as president. Burnett, nicknamed “Bobool,” played football (right-wing) and cricket (off-spin bowler and fair batsman) for T&T.
The referees were to wear a new outfit that season and training classes were to be conducted by Errol “Huntie” Yeates (Sporting Club) and Alvin (Golden Boy” Rodrigues, who qualified in the United Kingdom earlier in the year.
Rodrigues, who was born in Guyana and played football for the territory, was an officer in the army and later played in the South and for Sporting Club in the POS League.
Other officers elected were VAPrizgar (”Vap”) vice-president and Errol Yeates secretary-treasurer, E Monteil assistant secretary-treasurer, with members being S Jardine, CZBain, A Davis, George Cumberbatch and G Chin Cheong.
