EAST Zone winners of the Coca Cola Secondary Schools Football League Intercol St Augustine are looking forward to their National quarter-final match with Tobago winners Speyside today at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet at 4 pm today.
The “Green Machine” claimed a hard fought 1-0 win over eight-man Arima in their encounter on Monday at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, Arima. Head coach Michael Grayson said his boys are rearing to go. “The boys are very upbeat and they are looking forward to this match.
This win would have done a lot to their confidence as we did not want Arima to win the title three years in a row and we did it. After the league, we went back to the drawing board to plan for the match and things worked to suit,” said Grayson. The coach said there are a few bruises from their clash against Arima, but it is nothing much to worry about.
There is however, some concern ahead of this clash as the East Zone winners have little information on their Tobago opposition.
“We know nothing much about this team. We have not seen them play and so we will have to be cautious and take things one step at a time.
