Presentation College Chaguanas continue to dominate the central zone British Gas Secondary Schools Football League competition.
They go into their third round match against Chaguanas Senior Comprehensive at Chaguanas today with two emphatic victories under their belt and will be expecting to come away with full points from this encounter.
In their opening match the central champs slammed Marabella Junior Secondary 8-0 and followed this up with a crushing 6-0 triumph over Union Claxton Bay Senior.
'Pres' strikers Dion Lewis and Marvin Manswell have been in tremendous form to date and together they have scored nine of the 14 goals converted by their team.
Against Marabella, Manswell was bang on target when registered a beaver trick while leading goal scorer Lewis booted home a hat trick in their clash with UCB to take his tally to five.
Chaguanas started off the season well, taking full points against UCB in their first match but faltered badly when they were beaten 4-0 playing at home to Tabaquite Composite.
Pres' main rivals, Carapichaima Senior Comprehensive, also got a good start with a 4-0 triumph over Tabaquite in the league's opener. But they received a severe shock when they were beaten by newcomers and the little fancied Marabella Junior going under 2-1on Tuesday. However according to William Wallace manager of "Carps," they have put this defeat behind them.
Today, Carps take on UCB at the Ato Boldon Stadium and should come out on top. UCB, who have conceded 11 goals from their two matches and are yet to find the net, will have to show drastic improvement if they are to get a point.
This game starts at 2 pm.
In the other match, Tabaquite will be at home to Marabella. It will be interesting to see whether Marabella will be able to produce the same kind of form that took them to victory against Carapichaima when they play against their more experienced opponents at the far off village in Tabaquite. This game starts at 4 pm.
