Pleasantville Secondary sealed their place in next year’s BGTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Premier Division after clinching third place in the Championship Boys Big Five competition with a 1-0 win over Chaguanas North yesterday.

The round-robin competition also served as the promotion play-off from the Championship, with the top three teams sealing promotion. East Mucurapo Secondary and Signal Hill Secondary, who both secured qualification on Sunday, played in the other match yesterday, with the Tobago team coming away with a 3-1 win to clinch the Big Five crown.

Intercol action continues today

THE PRELIMINARY round of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Coca Cola Zonal Intercol competition will continue today with three matches – one in the North Zone and two in the South Zone.

All games will get going at 3.30 pm. 

In the North Zone, a rescheduled fixture will be staged at the Mucurapo West Ground with Tranquility facing Malick. This game was originally due to take place on Monday but was postponed due to a waterlogged outfield. 

In the South Zone, Princes Town West will host Moruga while Siparia West will square off against Vessigny at Palo Seco. 

The Zonal quarter-finals will begin tomorrow.
