ST MARY’S College will tackle Queen’s Roya College in the most popular and long-standing clash in the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) today.

The “Saints” vs the “Royalians” will be the spotlight match today when the Premiership Division continues at 3.40pm.

This game will be contested at the St Mary’s Ground in St Clair but it will be an opportunity for both teams to seek their first win in what has been an underwhelming start to the season.

Both St Mary’s and QRC have two points apiece, with QRC in 11th position on the standings while St Mary’s are second from bottom.

Leaders St Anthony’s are on a bye, therefore a number of teams have a chance to move to the top spot. Second-placed Shiva Boys will host St Augustine at Penal, third-placed Presentation San Fernando will meet East Mucurapo at Guaracara Park in Pointe-a- Pierre, fourth-placed Fyzabad will make the inter-island trek to face Signal Hill, fifth-placed San Juan will visit Pleasantville and sixth-placed Trinity Moka will entertain reigning champs Naparima.

Today’s other encounter will feature Fatima against St Benedict’s at the Fatima Ground, Mucurapo.

All matches will kick off at 3.40 pm.
