Moruga Secondary, Pleasantville Secondary, Tranquillity Secondary and Diego Martin North Secondary all progressed to the zonal quarter-finals when the 2016 Coca-Cola InterCol competition kicked off yesterday.
In the other South game, recently demoted Premier Division team Pleasantville Secondary also needed only one goal to get past home team Point Fortin East Secondary at Mahaica Oval. Pleasantville will now meet Fyzabad Secondary also next week in the quarter-finals.
In the North, the all-Premier Division clash between demoted sides Queen’s Royal College and Fatima College was rescheduled to today after the two teams declined to play the fixture yesterday because of short notice of the fixture.
Up to press time, a venue for the clash had not been decided. However, moving on yesterday were Tranquillity who edged Diego Martin Central 3-2 at Fatima Ground. They now move on to meet Trinity College Moka on Monday. Joining them were Diego North who thumped Blanchisseuse Secondary 4-1.
