In the other semi-final at the Mahaica Oval, 2016 Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Premiership title-holders Shiva Boys remained on course for a season double with a 1-0 victory against Fyzabad Secondary.

In the Tobago Zone semi-finals at Mt Pleasant, Speyside whipped Goodwood 2-0 while Renaldo Samuel was on target as Signal Hill edged Mason Hall 1-0.
