An own goal and one from Adriel George saw Bishop’s High School defeat Goodwood Secondary, to intensify the race for the Tobago Zone in the SHELL/FCB Boys Championship Division of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) on Monday.
In the rescheduled round of matches from Saturday, hosts Bishop’s secured a 2-0 win to match leader Goodwood’s 12 points after five matches with both having four wins and a loss. However the latter holds a plus five advantage in goal-difference.
Keston Rodney came good for Pentecostal Light and Life also causing a bit of an upset, edging Scarborough Secondary, 2-1.
Rodney rocked the back of the net twice in the close affair to earn his team its first win of the season after five rounds of matches, to be in fifth place in the six-team competition with four points, also having a draw and three losses.
