Defending champions Presentation College Chaguanas will enjoy home advantage when they take on Union Claxton Bay Senior Comprehensive in the second round of the British Gas Secondary Schools Football League Central Zone at Changuanas today.
The Central champs, playing on their ground, will start as firm favourites to register their second win in this year's tournament against their southern opponents who suffered defeat in the opening round last weekend.

Pres came away with an emphatic victory over newcomers Marabella Junior Secondary by eight goals to nil.

Striker Marvin Manswell proved to be a little too much for Marabella to handle as he booted home a beaver-trick to lead the way for the Chaguanas-based unit. Dion Lewis netted a double for Pres, while Reon Pegus and Anthony Goddard scored one apiece.

UCB, on the other hand, had to settle for second place against Chaguanas Senior Comprehensive, going under 5-3.

At the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, Carapichaima Senior Comprehensive will be aiming to come out winners against Marabella in order to stay abreast of Presentation in their bid to register their first lien on the zonal title.

Carps made an impressive start when they journeyed to Tabaquite and came away with full points after a 4-0 victory.

A double from Keston Cornwall and one each from Kerron Smith and Brent DeVerteuil sealed the issue for Carps.

Marabella will have to show some drastic improvement after their huge defeat in the first round if they are to stop Carps from registering their second victory.

In the other encounter, Chaguanas Senior Comprehensive will be at home to Tabaquite Composite at Chaguanas.

All matches start at 4 p.m.
