Still hurting from defeat in the RBTT South Zone Intercol last Saturday, Vessigny Government launched an attack on Scarborough Secondary yesterday with vengeance, knocking the Tobago team out of the national Inter -Col by a 2-1 margin.

The overcast sky above the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella did not dampen the enthusiasm of Vessigny, whose aggression was too much for the visitors.

The Scarborough goalkeeper, Holson Lovelace, had his hands full with consistent attacks from the Vessigny strikers and midfielders.

Tsion Thomas notch the first goal for Vessigny 30 minutes into the game. After going toe to toe with two defenders, Thomas tucked a neat right footer out of Lovelace's reach.

The game was one nil into the half, but 15 minutes thereafter, Vessigny's Khalil Commissiong, in a botched clearance, gave the Tobago side the equaliser.

Timmy Hernandez got behind three defenders and outwitted Lovelace to tuck a nice cross into the net in the 57th minute.

The teams batted to the bitter end, but the scoreline remained unchanged.
