Reigning RBTT National Inter-Col champions Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive School have been invited to an educational/sport and culture tour to USA (Washington DC, Baltimore and Virginia) from August 5-19.
The visit to the capital, Washington DC will see the school team compete against international and American club teams at the tournament.
The Mucurapo Road school team is coming off a great season in 2008.
At the Secondary Schools Football League awards function earlier this year, six of Mucurapo's members were selected on the All Star Team. Kevin Molino (midfield); Akel Bruce (defender); Terrance Clarke (midfield); Michael Duff (goalkeeper); Joevin Jones (defender); Muta Taylor (striker). The school also had three selections among the Five Players of the Year--Molino, Jones and Duff-and they won three of four titles; the North Zone League and InterCol titles and the RBTT national Inter-Col crown.
Technical director/head coach, former national captain Selris Figaro, coach and ex-Compre star Ian Clauzel and sports medic/trainer Ian "Chala" Dore are expected to accompany the team.
