Scarborough Secondary will defend their Coca Cola InterCol Tobago Zone title against Mason Hall after both teams secured 1-0 victories in the semi-final double-header at Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet yesterday.

Scarborough defeated Signal Hill in the first game thanks to Dareem Moore’s 52nd minute strike.

It was a fiercely-contested affair with Signal Hill players getting two red cards, including one for skipper Aderson Taylor, who was sent off in the 78th minute for dissent.

In the second match, Dwayne Donald’s 32nd minute strike was enough to ensure victory for Mason Hall over Roxborough. The final will be played on Thursday at the same venue from 3:30 p.m.

League champ Mason Hall will go in search of its second title this season when it takes on Signal Hill in the final of the Tobago zone of the Secondary Schools Football League 2009 Coca Cola Intercol title-match on Thursday.

Both teams recorded 1-0 wins in their respective semifinal matches of a double-header at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet yesterday. Mason Hall which drew a bye to get to this stage of the tournament, got the winner from Dwayne Donald as he found the net in the 36th minute.

In the first match, Signal Hill which also drew a bye to the semifinals, avenged its loss in last year’s final, edging out the defending champs Scarborough 1-0 compliments of a Dareem Moore strike in the 42nd minute. Meanwhile the East zone finalist will be known today when league and Big Five champs St Augustine take on Arima and Sangre Grande take on El Dorado.

The “Green Machine” is seeking an unprecedented four titles this season, however it will have to get past Arima, the team to which it suffered its only lost this season. Gustine will be eager to get another chance to redeem itself, however, Arima will not doubt be thinking that it could pull another win.

In the other clash Grande which placed last in the league will be looking to once again upset El Do, after defeating them 2-0 in the first round and holding to a 1-1 draw in the second round of the league.
