SHACKIEL HENRY was a virtual one-man wrecking crew, netting eight goals as Presentation San Fernando demolished Vessigny 11-0 yesterday in the opening game of a South Zonal quarter-final double-header in the Coca-Cola Intercol.

The Vessigny players, who all looked much smaller and younger than their opponents, were virtual lambs to the slaughter at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.

Henry, the Pres centre-forward, found the back of the net in the first, seventh, 32th, 35th, 47th, 51st, 84th and 87th.

Vessigny goalkeeper Lennox George was again beaten by J’van Pontiflet (22nd), Mickell Charles (31st) and Glen Sutton (64th).

Presentation are due to meet the winner of yesterday’s other quarter-final between Naparima and St Benedict’s in the semi-final round on November 14.

Naparima were leading St Benedict’s 2-0 at the halftime interval of yesterday’s other South Zonal quarter-final, with strikes from Jadiel Martin in the seventh and Adan Noel in the 24th.

Meanwhile, the Tobago Zonal quarter-finals got going yesterday, as the double-header carded for today was brought forward by 24 hours due to the availability of the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.

Mason Hall whipped Roxborough, winners of the Tobago Senior Division, by a 5-3 margin.

Mason Hall will now turn their attention to the challenge of reigning Tobago Zonal Intercol champs Signal Hill in the semi-final phase on November 14.

Speyside were facing Pentecostal Light and Life in yesterday’s other Tobago Zonal quarter-final, up to press time last evening.
