TOP OF the table St Ann’s Rangers (13 points) dropped their first points in the 2016 Trinidad and Tobago Women’s League Football (WoLF) campaign as they salvaged a 1-1 draw against seventh place Club Sando (two points) when Fifth Round action continued at the Carenage Rcreation Ground on Saturday.

After an evenly matched first half, the visitors from south took the lead courtesy a Jassandra ‘Mama’ Joseph strike in the 63rd minute. The Super League leaders were forced to play catch-up but were rewarded 18 minutes later with a penalty to which captain Annalis Cummings easily converted. This is the first game Rangers shared points although they remain unbeaten thus far.

At the CIC Ground, second ranked Real Dimension (12 points) battled to a 2-1 triumph over fourth place Queen’s Park.

A physical game from the get-go, Real Dimension still went ahead through Jemilia Mathlin. However, Queen’s Park responded via Kia Rigsby in time added-on of the opening period. Into the second half, utility player Jenelle Cunningham sent Real Dimension ahead once more in the 71st minute.

The Parkites continued to press but were unable to deny victory for Real Dimension.

And on Sunday, hosts St Augustine FC trumped visitors Tobago Chicas 2-0 at the Frederick Settlement Ground. St. Augustine showed no mercy as Kedie Johnson found the back of the net as early in as the second minute.

National Youth player, Laurel Theodore, sent the hosts further ahead in the 26th to affirm victory.
