SECOND-PLACED St Ann’s Rangers (20 points) suffered their second consecutive defeat, by a 2-1 margin, against fifth ranked Queen’s Park (13 pts) when Round 10 action of the Trinidad and Tobago Women’s League Football (TT WoLF) took place over the weekend.

Christine Rose gave the Parkites the lead in the 13th minute as the score remained the same for the rest of the first half.

Natasha St Louis equalised for St. Ann’s Rangers in the 74th, but Queen’s Park’s Moira Lindsay was not in the mood to suffer another loss, and sealed a victory for her team in time added on.

Meanwhile, third placed Petrotrin (18 pts) played host to St Augustine FC (15 pts) and used their home advantage at Guaracara Park, Pointe a Pierre, to salvage a 2-1 win. Laurelle Theodore would give ‘Gustine squad the lead in the seventh minute as the Petrotrin goalkeeper Chelsey Reney charged out the box against the oncoming forward who neatly tucked the ball under the goalie.

The visitors continued to control the tempo of the game for the most part, but the experience of Dernelle Mascall, Kayla Taylor and Mariah Shade kept harassing the St Augustine defence.

Shade would equalise for the hosts in the 68th minute as she slotted past the oncoming Nicollette Craig at the far post.

The game would change hands over the next few minutes and in the 73rd, Taylor would dribble past her defender and release a bullet that Craig could only deflect into the back of the net.

Additionally, top-ofthe- table WI Sports Real Dimension (27 pts) earned an easy victory as Point Fortin Pioneers were affected by injuries and unable to present a team on the scheduled day to play.

In the First Division, Trincity Nationals continued their clean sweep as they defeated St Augustine FC by a 3-0 margin.

Goals were scored by Ranelle Pascall (fifth), Shanelle Warrick (13th) and Nia Honore (41st). Diego Martin Central also defeated Malvern 2-0 at the Patna Recreation Grounds in Diego Martin with goals coming from Shania Lewis (49th) and Alizza Mc Cutcheon (57th).
