Following the recent screening sessions held in Tobago for U-17 and U-20 players in May 2012, to prepare for national selection, the National U-17 and U-20 teams spent the weekend of the 8th to the 11th of June 2012, in Tobago, training and playing against the assembled Tobago representative teams.
The Tobago Football Association would like at this time to announce that coming out of these games a total of eight (8.) players have been asked to join the National teams in Trinidad, to continue preparations, as the teams prepare for the first round of qualification for the respective world cups coming up. The eight players are made up of four (4) U-17 players and four (4) U-20 players.
As such arrangements are being made to make their participation a reality.
The invited players are:
U-20’s - Micheal Charles, Antonio Nelson, Jerimiah Bishop and Keemo Gardner
U17’s - Weah Adams, Kasheem Webb, Chris Lewis and Dylan Allum
The Tobago Football Association would like to say a special congratulations to the young men who were invited to take part in the next level of training and also to take the time out to thank all the young men who turned up to be a part of the process.
Thanks to the coaching staff, made up of Mr. Bertille St. Clair and Mr. Wayne Clarke, for the time and effort put into this exercise.
Also thank to the parents of the young men for their cooperation, and everyone else who supported the effort of the Tobago Football Association to expose our players in Tobago to a higher level of competition.
