Eustace Stewart and Esron Hinds scored two goals each as Hills United ensured a new champion will be crowned in this year’s Tobago Football Federation FA Trophy competition after it slammed last year’s winner St Clair Coaching School 4-0 in their quarterfinal clash at Canaan Ground, Bon Accord on Saturday.
In the semifinal, Hills United will lock horns with Federal Northside FC after it secured a 5-4 penalty-kicks win over 1976 Phoenix following a 2-2 draw at Goodwood.
Dominique Roberts got both goals for Phoenix while Jason Nedd and Alvin King were on target for Northside in regulation time to send the match in penalty-kicks where the latter prevailed.
Today, the two remaining quarterfinal matches will take place with Youth Stars and Sidey’s meeting at Goodwood, and Premier Division leaders’ Roxborough Lakers entertaining Signal Hill United at Plymouth Recreation Ground, both from 6 pm.
The semifinals are carded for October 24 witha date for the final yet to be determined. The FA winner will collect $20,000, second gets $10,000, third $7,000 and fourth, $3,000.
