ROXBOROUGH Lakers scraped into the fourth round of the FA Cup in the Tobago Football Association.
The lowly Lakers edged mid-table Sidey’s 1-0 at the Goodwood ground, on a goal by Kim Harris on Friday.
Now the Lakers will meet Mason Hall USSS in the next round at Mt Pleasant in the second game of a double-header at Mt Pleasant tonight from 7.30 pm.
Mason Hall USSS whipped Signal Hill United 3-1 at Moriah with Daniel Eastman Danny Pantin and Duane Murray scoring one goal each. Omale Jackson got the consolation.
In other action, Bethel United defeated Carnbee/Mt Pleasant 2-1 at Canaan. Burt Leith and Dwane Marcelle scored for the winners while Andre Richardson netted for the combined team. Bethel take on Leeds United in the second game at Shaw Park tonight from 7.30 pm.
Leeds United wallowing at the bottom of the Championship Division advanced, beating First Division team Moriah Youths 2-1 at Mt Pleasant.
Valton Brathwaite and Koreen London scored one goal each for Leeds while Keston Kerr netted for the Moriah men.
Other matches tonight: Lambeau vs D’Lane Goal City, 5.30 pm, at Mt Pleasant; Hills United vs Golden Lane, 5.30 pm at Shaw Park.
