A Keron Gray goal just before the hour-mark saw Sidey’s FC secure the inaugural Tobago Football Association Premier League Knockout Trophy, on Sunday, when the team edged Mason Hall United SSS, in a 2-1 come-from-behind effort.

The match concluded a triple-header of finals, at Speyside Recreation Ground, which marked the first time each zone hosted its own knockout competition, unlike previous years where all divisions competed for one trophy.

Gray’s 59th minute winner came five minutes after Mason Hall scored an own goal to allow Sidey’s to equalize. Mason Hall got off to a good start with Daniel Eastman giving the losing team a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute.

The Championship Division Knockout final, which played just before, saw Youth Stars lift the trophy after its victory over HV Milan ended by the same 2-1 scoreline, albeit after extra-time.

An HV Milan own goal in the 6th minute in that encounter have Youth Stars 1-0 lead. However, regulation time would end 1-1, after an Kino Trim equalizer in the 34th minute. With the scores locked at 1-1, Youth Stars came out stronger in added time and struck in the 10th minute (100th) to win the title.
