THE SW Touring Team, in partnership with the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), will be staging the inaugural Tobago Invitational Masters Football — Welcome To Sporting Paradise, on Republic Day weekend, September 24-25 at the Canaan/Bon Accord Recreational Ground.
Twelve teams (each with a maximum of 25 players) will be featuring in the Over-40 tournament, which serves as an opportunity to promote Tobago as a premier sport tourism destination, as well as fostering and developing lasting friendships in a safe, secure, family-oriented environment.
The winning team will earn a jackpot of US $1,500 plus trophies and medals, while the runners-up will earn US$1,000 as well as trophies and medals.
There will be cash prizes of US$150 plus a trophy for the Player of the Tournament and the Leading Goal Scorer respectively, and the Fete (Party) Team Winners will get a trophy in addition to prizes.
With regards to the registration process, the fee is US$400 per team and the squads will be entitled to tournament shirts, a case of bottled water and daily transport to and from the venue.
